Our official Ghorepani Poon Hill Hike starts today. We begin our trek at Birethanti via Nayapul after a few hours' drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara.

From Birenthanti, the trail continues through the town and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille, and after a short ascent, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1,540 meters.

From Tikhe Dhunga, the trail crosses a stream on a suspension bridge near the campsite at Tikhe Dhunga. The trail ascends a steep stone staircase (approximately 3,300 steps) to the large Magar village of Ulleri at 2,080 m. Today's walk is relatively short and easy, a prelude to the trekking experience in the Annapurna region.
